Clear Polycarbonate Sheet
Standard-grade virgin polycarbonate · 7 thicknesses

Clear polycarbonate sheet, cut to your exact size from 12" to 48" per side. Pick a standard size or enter custom dimensions, add flame- or diamond-polished edges, and see the price instantly — no quote for straight cuts, no minimum order. Polycarbonate is the go-to when impact resistance matters more than the lower cost and scratch-hardness of acrylic (machine guards, glazing, protective covers). Note: polycarbonate should not be laser cut.

Black and smoked polycarbonate
We stock polycarbonate in clear today. The two most-asked-for tints have their own pages while we bring them in: black for guards and covers that should not be seen through, and smoked where you want to cut glare and heat but still see what is behind it.
Do not cut polycarbonate in a laser
Polycarbonate absorbs the beam instead of cutting cleanly: it scorches brown along every edge, melts and re-welds, gives off fumes you should not breathe, and can catch fire. It also coats the optics. This is true of every laser and every thickness — CO2 and diode alike, and it is not a settings problem.
Cut polycarbonate mechanically — saw, router or shears — or tell us the finished size and we will cut it for you. If the part is going in a laser, you want acrylic instead; the craft & laser range is set up for exactly that.
About clear polycarbonate
Polycarbonate is a tough, optically clear plastic with dramatically higher impact resistance than acrylic — the reason it's specified for machine guards, protective glazing, and safety covers. It costs more than acrylic and scratches more easily, so acrylic is still the better pick when clarity and price lead and impact isn't the concern — see our acrylic vs. polycarbonate guide. Every piece is cut to your exact size; polycarbonate should not be laser cut, so we saw-cut it.
Made to order. Not every color and thickness is stocked at all times — if yours is temporarily out, we make or source it and ship as soon as it's back in stock. On a deadline? Email us before you order and we’ll confirm your expected ship date.
